Today after breakfast with an old friend from the .com wasted days, wandered over to Serramonte Center to do some shopping. I needed some cheap clothing and Target is handy. Clothing is another one of the things I don’t really carry much of. I’ve found it much easier to just buy a few things where I am. In Vietnam, a pair of decent shorts cost less than $5 USD. Underwear and socks even less. Its more expensive here like most things are but I still prefer not hefting extra crap where I go. If its not a memory, moment or experience its optional in my 45 liter or so backpack.
The malls and restaurants and coffee shops are open here. I have until 3 August and then I hop the Amtrak on my USA Rail Pass to wherever I decide to go.
